Who we Are

At Kentucky Road, we are a church dedicated to following Jesus in every aspect. We are a part of the Restoration Movement started by Thomas and Alexander Campbell and Barton StoneWe desire to see lives transformed by the saving and healing power of Christ. This means we strive to work with broken people in every aspect of their lives.  Feel free to join our weekly worship services where we celebrate the freedom we have in Christ. We have our hymn services on Sundays at 8am, followed by our contemporary services at 10:45am.

Our History

Kentucky Road was founded in November of 1960. The former Love Street Christian Church in Mexico, MO had grown to a size where they felt they should break apart and become two different congregations. It was decided that the new congregation would be founded in the northwest section of Mexico, and later, plans for the construction of a building on Kentucky Street gave rise to Kentucky Road Christian Church.

The greatest commitment to the church has always been to seek and to save that which was lost. In the 50 plus years Kentucky Road has been around, over 900 souls have been baptized into Christ. Kentucky Road has also been active in sending forth people into full time ministry. We have been active in the start of a number of different churches in the surrounding communities, participating in church plants and even sending some of our families to support those fledgling churches.

Our overall commitment to reach Mexico has not wavered. And we look forward to the future that God has planned for us.
